You can’t imagine the smiles this will bring to my students. We are so excited to begin using these cameras and learning all about their functions.

  • Pencils for Everyday Use!

    Funded May 12, 2024

Thank you so much. My students could not believe we had free lead pencils. They thought that I expected them to return them but I told them that thanks to generous donors like you they could keep them. As a result students took better care of their pencils, none of them were purposely broken and they lasted longer. There were also less distractions at the pencil sharpener.

A little pencil goes a long way in a high schoolers life since it is an essential tool used throughout the day and believe it or not they make a big difference. Some students don't get to shop for pencils or other school supplies and rely on teachers giving them an affordable 25 cent pencils so receiving a nicer lead pencil goes a long way.”

  • Crayola Markers Creative and Eager to Learn Student Artist!

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

Thanks so much for your generous donations. Thanks to you my students were able to make wonderful art work with quality materials. Being able to use materials that are high quality really lets students know that their work matters and that they are worthy of quality materials. They were excited to have new and vibrant materials that helped their work shine. The markers and card stock really motivated students to take pride in their work and try their best.

It really brought smiles, joy and color to me and my students.”

  • Give Students an Opportunity to Discover New Mediums in Art

    Funded Apr 21, 2022

My students were delighted to use the materials made available to them with your kind donations!

They were so used to the red, yellow, and blue matte tempera paint that had to be mixed to get the right color that when they saw the new paints, they were so surprised. My students had never used acrylic paints in our classroom and they were excited to see all the new colors available.

Since we did not have access to glazes, students used acrylic paint on their ceramic sculptures. Using the varied colors of the paint saved them time since they didn't have to mix specific colors, this allowed them to focus their time on adding patterns and details to their sculptures.

The paint provided was also used on political posters and will continue to be used on future projects.

The political posters were a mixed media project and students were allowed to use yarn as well as other materials.

Students also used the yarn and other materials made possible by your donations to make dreamcatchers. My students were so excited to create something they were able to display in their rooms or even gift to family and friends.

I firmly believe that seeing new materials in our classroom motivated my students to do their best on their assignments, so I want to thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Villegas

My students are beginning art students who are being introduced to the world of art and learning new skills that can be used across subjects, and I want to open their eyes to the many types of art mediums possible. I want to provide my students with quality supplies to help them feel like valued artists. Oil pastels are very versatile and will be used for drawing and painting. I am also excited to teach my students how to make dreamcatchers. Students will learn about the symbolism and background of dream catchers how to weave and decorate their own dream catchers.
