For the last few years, the students haven't painted in an art classroom. I have lots of plans to use more paint in the classroom. We are going to paint projects that focus on the elements of art, on famous artists, and on art from different countries. Liquid watercolors are a vibrant choice and can be used quickly in a 50 minute class period. The liquid watercolors will help us watercolor without water, since we don't have a sink, and the no-spill cups will keep us from messing up the classroom. Young children struggle with pan watercolors and older students are frustrated that the young children sometimes mess up their nice palettes.
