The Purell hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes will help keep the classroom free from germs, while the storage containers and rolling cart will help me keep my room organized and free from clutter. Having a clean environment will help the classroom feel like a more calm and comfortable place to learn. Social emotional needs are so important during these times, and there are multiple resources that will help students relax and feel in tune with their emotions. The variety of fidget toys, stress balls, and legos will be great resources for students to clear the heads, destress, and focus on the academic learning. Lastly, this is still a classroom focused on literacy education. The phonics reading books will help give me ideas and resources for lesson plans, as well as differentiation for students. The magnetic letter boards will also help my students practice correct letter formation, which is something many of them struggle with due to kindergarten being cut short. The whisper phones will help students practice their fluency and accuracy as they are able to hear themselves.
