    Thank you for supplying my classroom with the basic necessities. I am at a new school this year and didn't become aware until the year started that I would have to supply all of my own paper, markers, and other materials. As a newer teacher this would have been impossible without your endless support.

  • Escaping to Different Worlds Through Books and VR

    My students fell in love with the VR headset. It made learning immersive! Thank you for all your support. This would not have been possible without the help of all of you. If it was possible I'd invite each of you in to experience what the students get to and to see the smile on their faces. This is all thanks to you and your huge support in funding my classroom project. This has become one of my favorite classroom activities and is incredibly easy for me to run.   • Filming, Flexible Seating, and Classroom Supplies

    Funded Jan 29, 2022

    This project has made a huge impact in my classroom. I have more kids engaged, more kids reading, and just more smiles. Having unique things in the classroom makes it stand out and feel different to the kids who sit in the same chairs in the same type of room for 7 hours a day. Switching it up makes things exciting. So I am very grateful that this project and your donations were able to do just that.

    The kids have really enjoyed sitting in the bean bag chairs and chess has become a normal activity for anyone who completes their work. The phone box has made managing cell phones incredibly easy.

    The video equipment helped us make and amazing project this year and I'm sure will help us make even more over the years to come.

While teaching I've learned that students are excited when things are new. School is the same day in and day out, things get boring. I like to make my class exciting. This project is filled with three main things, first film supplies. I like to do video projects because the kids get excited about them, my favorite one to do is a recreation of The Outsiders. Where classes are given chapters of the book to recreate. Which assess their understanding, main idea, and theme, since they have to accurately portray their understanding of all this in their video. The project also has basic classroom supplies to help support my students day to day. I'm fairly new to teaching and buying the necessary supplies has been tough. I would like to give my students the absolute best of everything. Then finally it has flexible seating, which I hope will excite my students. I wanted the option for flexible seating before I even became a teacher. It is expensive, but even something so simple as a different chair really excites the students and makes them enjoy your class. And the more students enjoy a class the more they learn. This is my project, please help me reach my dream of giving my amazing students everything they deserve.
