These stuffed animals, rain sticks, and other resources will be used in one on therapy, evaluations, and group therapy experiences to interest and motivate students to communicate. Many of these students have not been with typical peers and have had limited play experiences. These materials will help provide them with the opportunity to develop functional play, turn-taking, receptive, expressive, and social communication skills with adults and peers in my school setting. These items will provide hands-on opportunities to have a guided play experience as well as the opportunity to explore and meet their sensory needs.
