Our students' diversity is very important to us at my campus. We love celebrating each other and our differences. Our school library is packed with English books, but we lack books in other languages. I am requesting books in their my students' languages which include Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, and Chinese. When more than half of our 700 student population speaks, reads, and writes in a different language, it seems odd that we do not offer books in their home language for them to read. These books will engage our students on a new level, and allow them to enjoy their home culture while at school. We are so excited to share these books with our students, and show them that their home language is important to us!
