These books will give my students the opportunity to connect with children who are similar and different to them. They will help them imagine life in someone else's shoes. Students will have access to diverse literature that I can introduce to them and ask them to reflect on throughout the school year. I will have them do book reports and reviews as the year goes along to share what they have learned with other people. Literature gives kids such a powerful opportunity to change the world and make it a better place without the bills it would take to travel.
