Students will be able to get practical experience with stage lighting. Students will explore lighting basics while designing for specific moods or atmospheres by installing and operating stage lighting instruments. Lighting affects our everyday lives and it is important for technical theatre students to understand these basics. These skills are important even if a live show cannot be performed due to COVID restrictions. Each student will create their own designs while learning how to safely hang and focus stage lights. This lighting cart will give them the hands-on learning experiences they have been missing.
