Many of my kindergarten students did not get the chance to attend preschool due to COVID. This is a trend that may be evident for the next few years and we will see the results of it in the classroom. Because of this, we are starting with the primary elements of learning in our kindergarten classrooms. Kindergarten students need multi-sensory learning opportunities to help solidify concepts and objectives. The phonics materials (letters, tiles, magnets, sorters) that are in my order will help provide the kinesthetic learning opportunity to help my students, associate letter identification and sound recognition. This information is research-based and encouraged by the LETRS Professional Learning program founded by Louisa Moats. My kindergarten students will be able to further their curiosity for learning with the STEM products in my order and explore with more hands-on products. As their teacher, I will be able to supply them with a creative outlet by incorporating projects for them supplied by the Cricut Explore Air. The possibilities will be limitless, as should their learning be too!
