  • Classroom Fun

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom! The students have loved having access to more indoor recess activities and a fun class store. We also are excited to make our classroom t-shirts. I plan on using those t-shirts to make my Christmas gifts for the students. I will use the vinyl and cut out hot air balloons, which is our classroom theme and use the heat press to make the shirts. Each student will also have their own number on the shirts. They are going to love them. We really appreciate your donation to get us these materials.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Inkley

  • Classroom Crafts Create Community

    Funded Oct 16, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. We have done so many fun things with your donations. Thanks to you, every single student has a pair of headphones that fits their little ears and work well. We also have a pair of scissors for each student. We use those multiple times a week.

The highlight of the donation has definitely been the t-shirts and vinyl that were donated. I made class t-shirts and gave one to each student. They really felt like we were a team and that they were loved. When they wear them, it reminds them of how we all are important and a part of the classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Inkley

  • Setting Up a Classroom

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

The resources that we received through Donors Choose have been such a great blessing to our class! I used the vinyl and shirts to make class t-shirts for us! I gave them as a Christmas gift and the students loved them. They continue to wear them frequently. The really increase the feeling on belonging and unity in our class. Every single time someone comes in with the shirt on, there are multiple compliments given.

We also have loved the other materials that were donated! My students were so excited to see the books. They love reading them together. They especially love the illustrations in the Harry Potter book. Having books that bring this level of joy into my classroom has been so magical.

We use the materials that were donated frequently. They help our classroom run smoothly, and they really bring happiness to these fourth graders. Thank you so much for your generous donations!”

  • Clean Lines, Keen Minds

    Funded Jan 31, 2022

We appreciate your kind offer so much! My students love using their whiteboards to assist with our learning. They ask to use them just about every day. The pencil sharpener has also saved so much stress, because it actually sharpens pencils. On top of that, it is quick, so it save my peace of mind as well as their pencils. The biggest thanks we have is for the iPad! With that, I have been able to move around my classroom. This way I can spend my time helping students and managing behavior, rather than being stuck at my computer. You have really changed my classroom for the better! Thank you so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Inkley

When there is limited distraction in a classroom, students are able to focus more on learning. Being overwhelmed creates too much commotion inside such little minds. The materials on my list are to help enhance the organization in my classroom to better allow for focused learning. This is my first year teaching, so some of those basic organizational materials are missing from my classroom. My hope is to set up a room where everything has a place that is easy to access. This will allow smoother transitions and better learning in my classroom. For example, if each table has materials already placed, then moving between activities will not require students to stand and move. Organization and proper materials are the key to a smoothly run classroom. If each student has his or her own clipboard or white board that can be stored in their desk, it will require less time to get material out. As students are provided materials and an expectation of organization is set up, we will create a clean classroom environment and our learning will excel. Additionally, allowing students rewards for organization and focus in lessons, such as the flexible seating chairs on the list, will my students be ready to learn and keep their positive attitude about school.
