Notebooks are used for the students to organize their information and quickly be able to access their pictures and notes that help them with each particular subject. Their assignments are also done in notebooks, and this helps the students keep the assignments organized and helps them to be able to go back and quickly locate information that will help them be successful in their school career. Journaling is a really good way for students to communicate their thoughts and feelings, especially during these trying times of COVID-19 and the uncertainty that goes along with it. I use interactive journals with my students weekly. They are able to write their thoughts and feelings in an environment that is safe and nonthreatening. I am requesting notebooks, pencils, dry erase markers, folders, and other basic classroom supplies to be used while journaling.
