The use of whiteboards, scratch paper, or boogie boards is essential for my students, especially with math. Being able to use a digital version of a notepad will enable the students to save and submit their notes/math work so much more easier. Also, when they are quarantined and have to learn from home, all of the things they have worked on in class will be saved in their drive or on canvas from using a digital drawing board in class. Our classroom is designed for each student to work and learn at their own pace and take more responsibility of their own learning. Have adequate storage space and their own cubbies is essential for this. When they are ready for math activities or science labs, they will be able to find those materials clearly labeled on the shelves instead of in boxes on the floor like they are now. Also, their personal items are not stored well and I want them to be able to keep their materials in a space that belongs to them and stays separate from everyone else. The cubbies they have now are too small and are falling apart, making it difficult for the students to find their things. The students are so much more eager to learn and be in class if they have a space that is just theirs in the classroom. My students have been so resilient and are so uplifting, but these items would benefit them so much when they are learning in the classroom, but also when they are learning at home.
