We have a space that allows students to take a break and address their emotional needs. Sometimes it is just to talk to someone. We provide tools that help give students positive reaffirmation. They allow students to better focus in class and be more productive. Students grow by learning life skills. These skills help teach them about decision making. They learn how to be a better friend and in doing so, they learn that their friendship is worth something. Learning how to learn things about themselves and how they react to the real world. This allows all kinds of growth. We participate in the national SEL day on March 11th, providing activities for the whole school to reinforce Social and Emotional Life Skills. Some of these activities involve pass-along motivation cards and grade wide interactive games on individual iPads.
