These tools and equipment will make it easier to address the needs of our students! Many of our students use a wheelchair or an assistive device as their primary means of mobility and these items often need repairs and adjustments. In light of COVID-19, it is harder to get into the wheelchair repair shop or make an appointment with a doctor to get new equipment due to increases wait times and restrictions. With the necessary tools, we as physical therapists can help adjust the equipment enough to still be functional and comfortable until they are able to get to their medical appointments. The exercise equipment requested are fun new and creative treatment ideas that will motivate our students during their physical therapy sessions. COVID-19 has been hard on everyone, and some new fun equipment can be a positive outlet for our students.
