Counselors have a unique window into the needs of students. Often students have hygiene needs that are not being met at home. Thus, we are excited to establish a Hygiene Center at our school where students will have toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and shampoo to assist and meet a physical need as it presents. Counselors also assist students with social and emotional needs. The art supplies and fidget toys will benefit students individually and in a small group setting helping reduce anxiety, stress and as art therapy. Lastly, counselors support students through literature. With the addition of the selected books, counselors will be able to build up their library and provide learning opportunities for students K-12.
