The requested materials and games will help provide opportunities for our students to explore, learn, and build relationships with peers. In a small group setting, we will work together to increase and reinforce basic reading and math skills. The COVID-19 pandemic has stolen learning time from children and we are struggling to figure out new ways to plug the holes while meeting IEP goals/objectives. Each student learns differently, has diverse learning styles, and chronological age is not an indicator of skill gaps. Because the mandated quarantining due to COVID-19 exposure continues to cause emotional stress and social anxieties we will continue to teach, learn, and practice social and emotional skills in a safe environment.
