The material I chose for this project will directly go to assisting students. These items will help teach students friendship skills, social skills, and positive ways to decrease anxiety. The table will provide a place for students to work with the school counselor in small groups or individually. The rug and light covers will help to warm up the office so it will feel warm and inviting for the students that come to use the space. As the pandemic continues I see more and more student struggling to come to school from fear and anxiety. I hope to create a space that students can come to calm down and learn skills that will help them throughout their school career.
