  • Tools for Daily 5 and Reading Horizons

    Thank you so much for donating to my project. The materials you helped to purchase have made our transition back to school so much easier. We are using these materials during our DAILY 5 time. DAILY 5 allows the children to choose their learning for a 15-20 segment of time. They can choose Read to Self, Read to Someone, Word Work, Work on Writing, or Listen to Reading.

    The students were very excited to have their own bags, and new white boards. Sometimes its the small things that give you the most genuine smiles.

  • Daily 5 Reflections

    Thank you for the support and donating to my well-deserving students. My children partake in Daily 5 every day. They love Daily 5 because it gives them the opportunity to choose their learning path for the day, whether it is "Read to Self", "Read to Someone", "Work on Writing", "Word Work", or "Listen to Reading" the students are fully engaged.

    The resources you helped provide have given them the space to write during "Word Work" and "Work on Writing." Also, the chair has defined a space in the room, and is now known as "The Author's Chair."

    We will continue to utilize these resources on a daily basis, and we appreciate you!”

  • Traveling White Boards!

    Funded Mar 17, 2023

    Thank you for donating to our project and providing materials that are much needed for avid 3rd grade readers.

    The white boards will be used daily while implementing Reading Horizons, our phonics program, that helps to improve our fluency. We write words and sentences, all while marking the words correctly to help understand the sounds while blending.

    Today we personalized our travel bags, and they enjoyed every second of making their bag "special" to them. They can't wait to carry them around the building to show off their artistic abilities.

  • A Cart with Clear Sound

    Funded May 10, 2023

    Thank you so much for the new AV cart and speakers. We opened the box and the smiles on the children's faces were priceless.

    The students helped to build the cart, which they truly enjoyed having a hand in helping me. They love how organized it helps to keep me, and how much better they can see the screen now.

    The speakers are amazing! We have used them to play Kahoot (an interactive game), watch educational videos, and a movie at recess. The sound is so clear, it's like we are in a movie theater.
