Play is a preschoolers work and that is how they best learn. Many Special Needs Preschoolers are already behind in the area of social and emotional skills have been significantly impacted as their interactions with peers and the outside world has been limited. Early Childhood is a crucial time for developing these skills. This project will help students read and learn about feelings and emotions in Little Spot Emotions stories and Tame my Anxiety Monster. We will be able to use Big Feeling Pineapple, Little Spot Emotions and Light and sound buzzard to pair up with color zones to identify feelings and share what is happening inside with teaches and peers. We will also use Wood sorting balancing rocks, Gears, building blocks, magnetic foam building blocks to not only have a chance to calm down, but also to practice interacting with peers, share and be creative in a kind, positive and socially acceptable way. This will help students have the necessary skills to be successful throughout their educational careers.
