I teach a transitional kindergarten (TK) class of young children who are four years old. I teach my students in a developmentally appropriate program where the learning occurs through play based experiences. Since my students get a lot of choice and learn through hands on experiences, they are very motivated and love to learn.
For many of my students, it is their first experience in school. Over 90% of the students at Viking Elementary school are from socioeconomically disadvantaged households. I teach a wonderful, diverse group of students. It's my passion to provide my students with the best possible first experience in education. I strive to provide them with an educational foundation that will lead to a successful future.
I have a superhero theme in my classroom which my students love. It is my goal to bring out their superhero potential because they are truly capable when given the right opportunities.
