My goal is to allow these books to be accessible within my classroom. Each week, my students get the chance to "check out" a book from my library. New books always catch attention and bring back students' excitement to reading again.
By supplying these new books, I will have more variety not just in genres, but in reading level, as well. This means that every student will more successfully find a book at their current level, building reading fluency, independence, comprehension, and confidence. The books I've chosen are ones I've seen my students, even previous students, take interest in at our school library. Why not bring that interest into the classroom?
