Great books will be used to inspire students to learn and grow through reading adventures both at home and in school as we team up with other schools from our district and "battle it out" at the end of each school year. These books will be a treasured resource used to enhance the student learning daily as I plan to inspire my students to read a wide variety of books from several different sources throughout the school year. Having class sets of books to help motivate my students to pick up a new book and share ideas and learning with other 5th graders will be an essential part of our daily reading program. Inspiring the love of learning in any and all environments is what teaching is all about and having added books for our classroom library will enhance and improve the learning outcomes for my students as we come out of the toughest educational trials my students have faced.
