Our classroom is a place where students learn the skills to make friends, control their emotions, and interact socially in appropriate ways. During the Covid 19 pandemic it has been difficult for students socially and emotionally because of minimized social situations, isolation, depression, and general stress. The books that are included in this project will help my students to read stories about characters who struggle with social and emotional learning. They give positive examples and steps for the kids to follow when in social situations or when they are struggling emotionally. The iPad will give students the opportunity to watch videos and use apps that model positive social behavior to support the reading materials. With the help of these tools, students can make progress in their social emotional learning and move forward in positive ways.
