My school serves mostly students in the lower socio-economic group. Being in this group means that they have not been exposed to the activities that build a lot of background knowledge necessary in all areas of learning, not just science. While not entirely attentive during reading or lecture, they come alive during hands-on activities. My school in considered a Title 1 school.
