I have requested a variety of items that will benefit the students of my classroom. I have included four flexible seating chairs that students can use when they need to get some of their wiggles out. I have also included a variety of art supplies for the students in my class. This class loves to use their imagination and create things. The markers, stamps and scratch off paper can be used throughout the day in lessons to help students do more hands on learning and create projects while they learn. I have also included some phonics games that will help my students practice their basic phonics skills. Many of my students are lower readers, which may be a result from their interrupted schooling in their first two years of school. These games can help students practice a variety of phonics skills that are vital stepping stones in learning how to read. Many of my students are very interested in reading and love to do it whenever they have free time. I have included three different series that many of my students enjoy. Having these books in my class will help encourage students to continue reading. When students enjoy the books that they read, they want to do more of it! All of the items in my cart will be put to use here in my second grade classroom. This class works hard with the materials that we do have, but these items would greatly benefit their learning!
