Learning to play the ukulele is a great way for students to begin the process of creating music from scratch. By having enough instruments for the class, every student will have the opportunity to play and create beautiful sounds. We will study how to finger chords as we learn about the music of Polynesia. As we learn fingerpicking skills we will study great players from all walks of like. My students can learn about music and culture as they learn to play the ukulele. It's a way to include students from a forgotten population and learn more about them and their background.

About my class
