As a new teacher who came into an empty classroom, I have been using my own money to get the bare necessities for my students. At the front of my class, on the board, it says "Students will be able to..." I normally end this sentence with "...compare and contrast Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration". Now, it will read something else. It will read, "Students will be able to. LEARN!" This is all thanks to these supplies! With this money, those who do not have personal colored pencils will be able to color. Those who do not have a personal stapler will be able to staple their assignments. Those who do not have a watch, will be able to tell the time. Every penny of this money is going to help students.
