Playing any brass instrument, especially the low brass instruments like trombone, can be challenging! Sometimes, it can get downright frustrating when students struggle to get it to sound right. To help motivate and inspire them, we want to provide the opportunity for them to create cool guitar sounds that they've heard in their favorite rock songs, on their brass instrument! This setup with a silent brass mute and a guitar pedal can do just that! Imagine a young beginning brass player "shredding" a solo on their instrument! This would help to motivate them to practice so they could have their turn on "electric brass." Not only could they have the chance to play this in class, but we could also spotlight some in performances. How many people get to go to a beginning band concert with an "electric trombone" solo?
