Each of these books will be covered in simple brown paper. Then on the cover will be a paragraph from each book. Students will have the opportunity to read each paragraph and select a book (by not judging it by the cover). We can relate this to character education and not judging others by their appearance. Students will be able to read their book and collaborate with their peers on the same book! They will be able to have access to books as COVID has limited many of them from getting to the library or being able to purchase them due to the lower-income area in which they live. They will be able to convince their peers/friends why they should read the book that they read. They will have the opportunity to pick a different book and do a different activity with the new book. Having several of the same book and a variety allows for this to happen.
