After having students online during COVID-19 I am excited to get them back to exciting activities in the classroom! My goal is for my students to WANT to be in class learning, rather than online behind a computer. Help me to reteach social and creative learning styles. Sometimes it is hard to get students to speak up and give input so having items like a hot potato, monkey string balls, dry erase boards and markers, and large Post-It notes will help to get students to give feedback, input and ideas while working in groups or in classroom discussions. My students LOVE escape rooms and scavenger hunts for information and to get them moving. The lock boxes will help facilitate this activity more efficiently! I use lamination pouches to make visual primary sources last longer and so more student can learn using multiple sources. Having an Oculus with control grips will give me an opportunity to offer virtual field trips to important historical sites. I can have one student wear the Oculus, and describe where they are and have others guess what site/historical place they are in. Maps of History timeline and Ancient Civilization display will help with review. I also provide crayons and pencils for students to use while taking notes.
