These materials will be used to enhance learning with a hands-on approach in project based learning that reinforce units of study of World History ranging from Mesopotamia to Modern Conflicts of today. COVID has affected my students with low motivation, engagement, and academic levels. These materials will help students academically by providing projects that are used in the study of World History to engage and motivate the learning of students who have gaps of learning as the result COVID remote learning. With these projects, students can show understanding by completing bullet points, drawings, labeling, Venn Diagrams, similarities and differences, and various other components. The glue sticks, ultra-fine back sharpie markers, and electric pencil sharpener will provide my students with materials at their desks which will enable them to engage, be less disruptive, and successful. The highlighters will be used when we read as a class, and highlight important information in the informational text articles that provide a vocabulary and a foundation for the unit of study. The materials will also be available for students during the Advisory period, so that they can complete the projects in a non Social Studies environment. These materials will be used on a daily basis, and it will be nice to have the materials ready available and not have to tell my students that we are out of that particular item.
