These materials will help fulfill student wished to try and experiment with new mediums. When I surveyed my students about which mediums they would like to try most of them responded that they want to try oil pastels, charcoal (which our classroom already has), and gouache paints. We will be using oil pastels for a project focused on the Cubism art movement. When surveyed about what they like to draw, most of my students responded that they like to draw people or cartoons/anime. Students will also be able to access drawing reference books to help with current projects they are working on, or for a positive learning activity when they are finished with an assignment early.
