My students will be able to use the magnetic letters and word tiles to help them decode words. They will also be able to use the storyboard to creatively put together sentences and stories. I will use the magnetic letters in my small groups as we work together to learn the different sounds that are made and how to break apart words to decode. The books that were chosen will be used to teach different reading comprehension skills. In small groups, they will work together to care for caterpillars and they go through the process of changing into butterflies. They will be able to see a part of an ecosystem in person. We will be able to discuss the role that butterflies have in their ecosystem. The kinetic sand will be a great resource for both STEM and SEL. The students will be able to use the kinetic sand to complete different STEM challenges. They will be able to manipulate and change the sand to create different things. The kinetic sand can also be used for students who need time to calm down. They can use the sand to help them recenter and relax when they have been stressed. My students love to work together and create. The art supplies will be used to help my students create during language arts, science, and social studies. They will have access to the supplies so that they can model or present the information that they are learning. The pencil sharpener will be very useful in our classroom. The one that we have now does not function well and the students often sharpen their pencils down to barely anything.
