One of the biggest hurdles my students have faced is how to deal with the anxiety and uncertainty in this crazy world. I want to create a classroom that has the tools to help them cope with their everyday anxieties; as well as a place that can mix fun with learning. The SEW games will be great to help teach them control of their emotions in a fun and engaging way. I truly believe that part of the reason our students struggle is the feeling that they lack general control over their own decisions. I am hoping that if I provide flexible seating options it can be one way that i give choice and empowerment to my students. I love to read to my students and I love providing them with a library full of books that teach them in simple and exciting ways. In my library I am also hoping to include these STEM building toys so that my library can become a place of calm and be used as a calm down corner. These students are amazing and the deserve all that I can give them to help them cope and find joy everyday. Thank you for helping me make this happen.
