Covid 19 has closed many doors for students over the last several years; reading will help reopen many of those doors. Novels help students build vocabulary, critically think and fosters imagination. Students desperately need these skills especially after two years chaos in the learning process. Putting a book in every student's hand, many who have never completed any chapter book, is the beginning of reclaiming some of what they have missed out on during this pandemic. These books will help build skills now, create an environment for them to learn to love reading and will do the same for all students who follow them in years to come.
