The new Science NGSS standards are only a couple of years old. My students enjoy talking about science but there is a piece missing from our old science core, which is the hands-on activities. With the Science Activity Kits and Stem Activity Book, the students will be able to incorporate investigations and feel like they are real scientists, measuring, exploring, mixing, etc. Naturally, it will get the kids more invested in learning. Also, the Teacher Pay Teacher gift cards will be used for an online interactive program that uses the Science NGSS standards. A valuable tool to teach Social studies is reading about the time period or event in a historical fiction novel. My students will paint a picture in their minds of what is happening by the vivid imagery and words that bounce off the pages. These novels will help them understand the time period and learn lessons from the past that they can take into their lives.
