Students are distracted and stressed when they return from quarantine. Remembering their books and pencils becomes a struggle when they are more worried about friends that they rely on in class that not there. I want to give my students the easiest routes to being prepared. Backpacks that they can keep their materials for my class in at all times. A pencil sharpener that they won't feel self conscious using in front of the class. And then even more basic things, I want them to not be distracted if the classroom is cold or leaving to get water because their throats are still recovering from being sick. My students have such vast capacity and hungry minds, my greatest wish is to give them the best, most enriching environment for them to thrive in while in my classroom.
