Due to COVID-19, students sanitize their hands upon arriving and before leaving the STEM lab each time, and I sanitize the tables and supplies that the kids use as frequently as possible. Approximately 600 students attend STEM each week, so we go through a lot of sanitizer and cleaning supplies! Receiving sanitizer and paper towels through this donation would help me continue to keep the lab clean and safe for everyone. Additionally, students are more spread out and are working individually or in smaller groups than they had in previous years, which requires me to have more materials on hand. When added to the materials that I currently have in my classroom, the blocks and building tools that I am requesting would make it possible for students to use them independently or with a partner, thus reducing their contact with other students. Each of the building tools would be used by students in grades K-6 for science, math or engineering activities.
