Hear It, Share It!
Funded Aug 14, 2024Hear It, Share It! Receiving the grant for the classroom set of headphones has been so amazing. I have not had headphones for my class for the last couple of years. The difference having versus not having them has been night and day. Students can complete work without having to put their head next to the Chromebook to hear the video being played. They can now listen to the video's or whatever we are doing on their own at their own speed. They don't feel stressed to have to keep up with people that may be faster than them.
Another benefit is for students that have a hard time focusing on assignments such as writing assignments. The classroom set of headphones is allowing students to be focused on their work and not talking with neighbors. This added focus is allowing students to complete their assignments on time, if not before class ends because they have been able to simply focus on their work.
A last benefit I have noticed with having a classroom set of headphones is that students that struggle with reading and writing now have a tool that read the primary and secondary source documents we are reading as a class, to them. For students who struggle with this, they are now able to complete their assignments in a timely manner. They are not spending so much time just having to read the information. It is a definite game-changer for them in their school experience.
Thank you does not adequately express my gratitude for this opportunity of receiving a classroom set of headphones. The impact on the students is immeasurable. So, thank you for this opportunity you have given me to help my students make a difference in their education.”

Funded Jan 23, 2022History can be a struggle for a lot of people because of experiences they have had previously. By introducing history through a hands-on digital experience had engaged students when there had previously been dred. When the Digital Breakout boxes were brought out the students were beyond excited about being able to solve historical problems in groups and with these digital solving kits. These kits are so helpful with teaching students real world applications and skills.
Thank you so much for funding these incredible aids to our classroom.
Sincerely,
