STEM activities that integrate the Arts into regular curriculum make lessons memorable and valuable to students who have struggled to stay engaged during COVID. Creating rhythmic, lyrical and performance-ready musical numbers uses math, science and language arts skills. When students are engaged in creating something to perform, they experience STEM topics in a way that makes learning exciting. Integrating the Arts into their class lessons will make them want to learn. Playing an instrument is proven to open neural pathways that strengthen math and language acquisition. Science has proven that the Arts strengthens all areas of learning.
