The basic fundamentals of musicianship lie in being able to keep a beat, hear rhythms and create music using those skills. By providing my students with ways to explore these basic concepts and master them, I am also providing them with opportunities to express themselves through music and in ways that might not otherwise be possible. A primary music program begins with the mastery of rhythm and beat, and access to a variety of non pitched instruments is imperative. The benefit of these tools is that they can be used in school or with at home learning.
