  • Clean and Cozy

    Thank you for helping my kids have a clean and cozy classroom. They are really enjoying the new cushions for work time as well as the cute cozy corner cushions in the library. The flexible seating options help my students be as comfortable as possible while working.

    I really appreciate having wipes and soap for cleaning the area and keeping germs minimal. It's great to have these supplies without having to buy them myself. And having a laminating machine makes it really quick and convenient for me to produce things for the kids to work with that will be durable and clean up easily.”

  • Tools to Make Learning Fun and Engaging

    The impact of this project was tremendous! I started the year with a completely empty classroom. I had curriculum from the district and a few hand-me-downs from other teachers. This donation gave my students a cute bench/bookshelf for a reading area and toys to spark little imaginations and strengthen little hand muscles to better handle all the tasks like writing, coloring and cutting that are essential for success in kindergarten.

    I received games that not only built their fine motor control but also fostered playing together, communicating and sharing, and understanding and following rules and procedures.

  • Building a Super STEM Thinking Classroom from Scratch!

    My students are loving all the new items in our classroom. They are particularly happy about having different seating options. They can choose from regular chairs or yoga balls or sitting on the floor on cushions. This allows each student to sit comfortably for them as they work.

    They are also enjoying the greater variety of math manipulatives and toys that spark their imaginations. They particularly love the magnetic building sets. They are learning not only academic skills but the art of negotiation and cooperation, vital skills for life.

COVID-19 has decreased learning and socialization opportunities for my students. Many of them came to school with very little exposure to literacy materials, math manipulatives, and low social skills. Many students who might have otherwise gone to preschool did not have that opportunity due to COVID concerns. Puzzles, games and literacy materials will help my students with motor skills, counting practice, literacy skills and socialization and make learning more fun and engaging. Base ten manipulatives will allow my students to have hands-on opportunities to increase math skills. Literacy materials will help them learn to read and write. A library center will be a fun area for them to learn to love reading and interact with each other in an informal setting.
