COVID-Affected Learning in the Classroom
Funded Jan 21, 2022Thank you for donating to my classroom project! Ever since COVID, we have integrated much more technology in the classroom so that we are prepared to continue learning if we ever need to learn from home again. Part of that technology integration includes many more online assignments and teaching modules that allow my students to take charge of their own learning. I love the accommodations I can make with technology, such as recording myself reading instructions, recording modeling of how to complete an assignment, and allowing students to record themselves answering a question, which allows them to express understanding no matter how limited their written language may be. These are amazing accommodations that make learning more accessible and tailored to each student!
The most exciting part of having these new headphones is that each student can focus on their own learning without judgment from their peers because they can individually listen to what they need in order to complete a task or assignment. Before each student had their own headphones, this was less of an option and we ran into problem after problem of students' headphones not working. These headphones have made all the difference for independent learning in our classroom. Thank you so much for donating to our project!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Williamson
