The Osmo interactive activities link with iPads and will help my students to learn their letters, numbers, shapes and colors. My students have severe intellectual disabilities and need to build a great basis of these foundational skills. The other Osmo activities will help a few of my students learn how to start counting money, build words, create objects out of basic shapes, and learn to pay attention to specific details. Each of my students vary in their individual abilities, so these activities will benefit each students individual needs. These various Osmo kits will also be able to be projected through zoom, if the students have to go home to at home learning. This way I will be able to manipulate and the students will be able to follow along and interact at home. These kits will also help my students to stay engaged with the lesson, instead of worksheets. Each of my students as their own strength and talents, so by finding activities that can be engaging for each of them is so important. I would also like help with supplying my students with recordable communication buttons. Most of my students are non-verbal so by having buttons at home and at school they can use to communicate with will be important. All students have the right to be able to communicate their needs and wants. The foam tiles are to help make individual seating for students so that they can each know where they need to go, so they can be socially distanced. The emotions book kit will help my students to help understand their emotions. These books can be taught in the classroom as well as projected through zoom if we have to have learning at home. Thank you for helping provide these tools for my students!
