My students are more than three grade levels behind expectation in reading and math due to the disruption in learning as a result of the pandemic impact these past couple of years. They are not performing on grade level at this point and this does impact their academic progress. The reading intervention set and decodable texts will help my struggling learners become confident readers, and the funding from this project will be very helpful to make this happen. I would appreciate having classroom decodable texts so I can help my students close the reading gap and help meet each of their academic needs. I would use these text materials to help them stay engaged and enjoy reading and learning for their academic growth.
