Live on Stage!: Creating Sound for Live Theatrical Productions
Funded Jan 17, 2024Thank you so much for your donation for our classroom MacBook. Thanks to our new supplies my students were able to run music and sound effects for our school musical with such ease. MacBooks have an application that is specifically used in theater companies everywhere and my students were very excited to get the opportunity to learn how to use it. This software is very user friendly and it took my students no time at all to learn how to use it. Since our school musical had so many different sound cues my students were afraid of how they were going to run it, but with the new technology they felt successful in their jobs within our production.
I am so excited for our future classes to learn how to use the program and what a difference it will make in our growing theatre program.”

Tech Theatre: Learning Through Non-Traditional Practices
Funded Jan 25, 2022Thank you so much for helping me obtain the supplies needed for my students. These supplies helped my students build their projects and get a hands on experience with technical theatre. As they worked on these projects I saw a huge change in my students. Every single one of the blossomed as they completely engaged and created their projects. Students who had a hard time getting work turned in went above and beyond my expectations and loved every minute of the work. As they created these designs they saw the importance of tech theatre and had many questions of how it works in the real world.
Those who worked on the projects in the play got a first hand experience of putting a play together from nothing. Each student worked hard every day to make sure they created designs that were functional and met all requirements for the show. When it was completed they were all proud of the work they had done.
These students got to interact with theatre in a way that they had never done before. I believe these projects helped them see the importance of this class and encouraged them to continue to interact with theatre in the future.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Trejo
