  • Printmaking a Day Keeps the Doctor Away

    Thank you so much for giving my students the ability to make some awesome art! These supplies and tools that you donated would not have fit into my budget and the students really loved the project.

    With your donation we were able to create an edition of linoleum prints using a wide variety of colors. This project had the highest engagement all semester. Their favorite part of the project was using the printmaking ink to actually make their prints. They were really excited with the different color combinations.

    This project has set us up nicely to understand the difference between positive and negative space, as well as how to create a strong composition. It has inspired me to also do more projects with a 3 dimensional element.”

  • My Students Deserve Better Supplies!

    I can't thank you enough for the supplies. It meant so much to me and my students. Starting as their new teacher in the middle of the year with the budget already being spent was difficult. When I started we had minimal art supplies and my students expressed that they felt limited. We both felt limited!

    I decided to highlight one of our favorite projects. My students created self portraits using various materials you supplied. They were very proud of themselves and how they turned out. It was awesome to see how their personalities shown through and the confidence it gave them in their ability to make art.”

I just started a new position in an underserved community with a small art budget. My students feel frustrated at times, due to a lack of choices in materials. I have not had my students for very long but I know that these supplies would mean so much to them, and would give us more freedom in projects. They have had a really negative experience with art this far and I want to be able to give them the experience they deserve. I am asking for supplies that will be used for multiple projects in my classroom. We currently have very few options.
