After being home for a whole school year, students are no longer accustomed to sitting in a chair at a desk all day. Our classroom is in desperate need of a rug where students can feel like they are more at home. It will also give us a cozy space where we can gather for a morning meeting, as well as meet for our daily math and science lessons. I would love to give my students the option of sitting at their desks, stretching out on the rug, or working around the room on a comfortable floor cushion. These new additions to our classroom will make it a more inviting space for my students to work and learn productively with their peers.
