I hope this message finds you in good spirits. I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your generous donation. Your contribution arrived at a most opportune time, just before the snowfall in Houston.

On behalf of my class of emergent bilingual students, I extend our heartfelt thanks for your thoughtful gift of gloves, beanies, and snacks. Your kindness has significantly enriched our classroom environment, providing warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging for our students.

Thank you once again for your generosity and your belief in our students. Your support has truly brightened our classroom.

  • Reading Around The World

    Funded Oct 3, 2024

I sincerely thank you for your generous donation of books to our classroom. These texts have enhanced our students' skills, including critical thinking and cultural awareness, while igniting their love for reading.

In class, reading is interactive, with students discussing insights and exploring ideas from the books. Notably, my students are particularly enthusiastic, sharing their favorite stories and engaging. Your contribution significantly impacts their education, and we are truly grateful. Warm regards.”

  • Reader's Cafe

    Funded Feb 2, 2022

Thank you again for your support in my classroom. The way that I use these texts in my classroom is by incorporating them into my curriculum. We study various attributes about literature such as synonyms, hyperboles, metaphors, plot, summarization, and character development.

In my classroom reading is all about helping students disconnect from technology and use their imagination. Reading in my classroom is done in various groups of students based on their fluency levels. Students read by taking turns and discussing what was read.

My fluent readers are enjoying the text with more print than images because it challenges their fluency and helps them read longer. My reluctant readers really are enjoying the graphic novels because the images help them connect to the text and remain engaged.

Thank you again donors for helping me make my classroom a library for all readers”

My goal is to build a class library for readers to explore different aspects of life through text. I want to give my students the ability to read books not so readily available to them. They will be allowed to take books home to enrich their learning that not only takes place in the classroom but as well as away from the traditional setting. Building this classroom library will give my students an interest in reading as and a fascination about the world around them. Thank you for considering my project.
