Fine Arts Integration at its Finest
Funded Aug 15, 2023Thank you from the bottom of my heart for funding my arts integration project. I adore using art in the classroom to reinforce science, language arts, math and social studies concepts. I believe the kids learn more readily and the concepts are more quickly cemented when taught in conjunction with the arts. However, it can be tricky to obtain materials.
With the funding of this grant, I have already been able to implement many art projects and hands on learning activities to help make basic concepts more fun and engaging. My students are having a blast in the classroom using their hands to create as we discuss phonemes, letters and numbers.
Thank you for taking the time to support my students and my classroom.”
With gratitude,

Funded Aug 4, 2023Thank you for funding my brand new alphabet carpet! It has made such a difference in my classroom.
We use our space to gather for morning meetings. Each student has their own space. This has helped tremendously with classroom management and student engagement. With the carpet, it has been easier to set and manage classroom expectations and good listening choices.
Students have also been using the carpet as a place to relax for quiet reading, play for choice time, work for centers, and in some cases take a little sleep. I can't imagine my space without this important learning tool.”

Making Reading Tangible and Fun!
Funded Jan 18, 2023Thank you for funding my grant to make reading fun and tangible for kids. With the money from your donations, I was able to provide the students with several new and interactive ways to build phonetic knowledge that promotes the science of reading.
Students were thrilled to see the new additions to our reader's workshop corner. It has been a joy to watch them explore the new materials as they take ownership and pride in their reading development.
Students have been matching uppercase letters to lowercase letters, building CVC and CCVC words, blending sounds to make words, and developing sight word fluency all in a meaningful, fun and collaborative way.
Thank you for your generosity and supporting my kindergarten classroom.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Branciforte
